UDID Card (Unique Disability ID Card)

The Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card is a national identity card issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The UDID project provides a single, universal identification for persons with disabilities across India. It serves as proof of disability and enables eligible individuals to access government schemes, reservations, concessions, healthcare services, education, employment benefits, and other welfare programs. The UDID Card also helps maintain a centralized national database of persons with disabilities.

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

2. Applicant must have a disability certified by a competent Medical Authority.

3. Applicant must possess a valid Disability Certificate or apply for disability certification through the UDID portal.

4. Applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government of India.
