Disability Pension

The Disability Pension is a government welfare scheme that provides financial assistance to persons with disabilities who have limited or no regular source of income. The pension is administered by the Social Welfare Department or the concerned State Government.

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

2. Applicant must have a disability recognized under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

3. Applicant must possess a valid Disability Certificate issued by a competent Medical Authority.

4. Applicant must meet the income and other eligibility criteria prescribed by the respective State Government.

5. Applicant should not be receiving any other pension, unless permitted under the applicable scheme.
