Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is a flagship welfare scheme of the Government of India that provides free LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) connections to eligible women from economically weaker households. The scheme aims to promote the use of clean cooking fuel, reduce indoor air pollution, improve women’s health, and eliminate the use of traditional cooking fuels such as firewood, coal, and cow dung.

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

2. Applicant must be a woman aged 18 years or above.

3. Applicant must belong to an eligible poor household as per Government guidelines.

4. No member of the applicant’s household should already have an LPG connection.

5 .Applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government of India.

Terms & Conditions

The applicant must provide accurate and genuine information.
Only one LPG connection is permitted per eligible household under the scheme.
Original documents may be required during verification.
Incomplete or incorrect applications may be rejected.
Additional documents may be requested by the concerned authority or Oil Marketing Company.
Benefits under the scheme are subject to the prevailing guidelines of the Government of India.
Submission of false information or forged documents may result in rejection of the application and legal action under applicable laws.
