Population Certificate
A Population Certificate is an official document issued by the Revenue Department or the competent authority certifying the total number of members residing in a family or household at a specified address. The certificate is commonly required for government welfare schemes, educational admissions, housing schemes, financial assistance, legal proceedings, and other official purposes where proof of family size or household population is required.
Eligibility
1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
2. Applicant must be a permanent or ordinary resident of the concerned State.
3. Applicant must belong to the family or household for which the certificate is being requested.
4. The applicant must provide accurate details of all family members residing in the household.
5. Applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the competent authority.
