Income & Asset Certificate (EWS)
The Income & Asset Certificate (EWS) is an official certificate issued by the competent authority to certify that an individual belongs to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). It is primarily used to claim EWS reservation benefits in government jobs, educational admissions, and other government schemes where EWS eligibility is applicable.
Eligibility
1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
2. Applicant must belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
3. Applicant must not fall under the excluded categories prescribed under the applicable EWS rules.
4. Family income and assets must be within the limits prescribed by the Government.
5. Applicant must satisfy the applicable Central/State Government EWS criteria.
