Ayushman Bharat

Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a flagship health assurance scheme of the Government of India that provides cashless health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per eligible family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalization. The scheme enables eligible beneficiaries to receive treatment at empanelled government and private hospitals across India. In Karnataka, the scheme is integrated with Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka (AB-ArK) to extend healthcare benefits to eligible families.

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

2. Applicant must belong to an eligible family identified under the SECC 2011 database or as per Government guidelines.

3. All senior citizens aged 70 years and above are eligible under the expanded PM-JAY provisions, irrespective of income.

4. Applicant must possess a valid Aadhaar Card or other approved identity proof.

5. Applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka.
