Aadhaar-Voter ID Linking
Aadhaar–Voter ID Linking is a facility provided by the Election Commission of India (ECI) that allows eligible electors to voluntarily link their Aadhaar Number with their Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC)/Voter ID. The objective is to improve the accuracy of electoral rolls, eliminate duplicate voter records, and simplify the voter verification process. The linking is carried out by submitting Form 6B through the Voters’ Service Portal, Voter Helpline App, or the Electoral Registration Officer. The submission of Aadhaar details is voluntary and subject to the provisions of the law.
Eligibility
1. Applicant must have a valid Aadhaar Number.
2. Applicant must be a registered voter with a valid EPIC (Voter ID).
3. Applicant must possess a valid Aadhaar Card.
4. The details in the Aadhaar Card and Voter ID should match or be supported by relevant documents.
5. Applicant must satisfy the guidelines prescribed by the Election Commission of India.
