Small/Marginal Farmer Certificate

A Small/Marginal Farmer Certificate is an official document issued by the Revenue Department or the Department of Agriculture certifying that an individual qualifies as a Small Farmer or Marginal Farmer based on the extent of agricultural land owned or cultivated, as defined by the Government. The certificate is commonly required to avail agricultural subsidies, crop loans, crop insurance, farmer welfare schemes, financial assistance, and other government benefits.

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

2. Applicant must be engaged in agricultural activities.

3. Applicant should own or cultivate agricultural land within the limits prescribed for Small or Marginal Farmers by the Government.

4. The land details must be recorded in the official revenue records.

5. Supporting documents must be submitted for verification.
